Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you assess for ADHD?
We offer ADHD evaluations for children ages 4 through 18, using age-appropriate tools and approaches at every stage.
What happens during an ADHD assessment?
Our process includes a detailed parent interview, direct interactions with your child, standardized questionnaires, and (with your permission) input from teachers or other caregivers. Our goal is to gather a full picture of your child’s strengths and challenges.
How long does the assessment take?
Assessments typically occur over one session, lasting about 1.5–2 hours, and include the feedback and discussion of the results in detail.
Will I get a written report?
Yes! You'll receive a comprehensive written report that includes findings, diagnoses (if applicable), and practical recommendations for home, school, and emotional support.
Does an ADHD diagnosis automatically mean medication?
Not at all. While some families choose to explore medication, others find success with behavioral strategies, school accommodations, coaching, or therapy. We work with you to create a plan that fits your child’s needs and your family's values.
What if it’s not ADHD?
If our evaluation points to a different issue (such as anxiety, learning differences, autism spectrum condition, or sensory processing challenges), we’ll provide clear information and resources to guide you.
